Position: Assistant Site Coordinator of Youth Development (part time)
Category: Non-Exempt
Department / Division: Youth Development
Reports to: Site Coordinator/Director of Youth Development
Position description: Support the Site Coordinator with the implementation of daily programs for school age children and their families. Education/Experience: High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Recreation, Sociology or Human Services or equivalent education and/or experience strongly preferred. Minimum of one year work experience in a group leadership position with youth. Valid North Carolina driver’s license and ability to work weekends and evenings. Must be 21 years old. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist Site Coordinator in planning monthly schedule of activities including daily homework, preparing snacks, support services, wellness classes and evening/weekend cultural experiences for students. Participates in daily cleaning of the program space. Assists with transportation services for school pick-ups and off site events for youth. Participate in a minimum of sixteen hours of professional training and development annually to maintain knowledge of current practice and child development/ school age care issues. Position description: Part-time lifeguards needed for indoor pool. Applicants must have a thorough knowledge of swimming, lifeguard, CPR and First Aid certification.
